Jorvik Centre Visit Y5/6

Year 5 and 6 visited the Jorvik Centre this week.

On Wednesday, Y5/6 visited the Jorvik Centre in York. Across the year, we have been learning about the Vikings so this was the perfect opportunity to deepen the children's learning.

While we were there, we went on an immersive ride and saw what a typical Viking street would look like. We saw some artefacts from Viking Britain and discovered that many of Jorvik's residents weren't warriors so no weapons were found whilst York was being excavated.

We also got the chance to be archeologists for the morning; we walked over to the DIG centre and unearthed a range of objects while we were there!
