In years 3 and 4, we have created some artwork inspired by Paul Cézanne.
Paul Cezanne was a famous artist who lived a long time ago. He is well-known for his beautiful paintings, especially his landscapes and still lifes. His artwork is easy to identify because he liked to use bold and bright colours, and he painted things in a unique way.
Cezanne loved nature, so many of his paintings show beautiful scenes of mountains, trees, and flowers. He would paint them in a special style, using small brushstrokes and different shapes to create a sense of depth and texture.
The children transferred skills they learnt from Cézanne and painted a volcano.
Today, poet Andy Tooze visited Dallimore.

On Monday, Changing Lives delivered an assembly about worries. We learnt that there are many reasons why people worry and sometimes they get bigger and bigger and we can’t stop worrying. Changing lives demonstrated how keeping your worries to yourself makes you feel and how it makes you feel when we share them. We now know it is important to share our worries to make us feel better. We know we can share worries with our family, friends, trusted adults, and grown-ups in school. We learnt two techniques to help us with our worries: hot chocolate breathing and hand breathing.

Recently, the Year 6 football team came up against Cotmanhay.
We had an inspirational assembly with a fantastic footballer.
During Outdoor week we took part in golf, circus tricks, forest skills and free style football. We had a rounders tournament between all three classes where Badgers came first, Otters second and then Rabbits. All the children in year 3 and 4 had an amazing week.
On Friday 16th we welcomed members of our school community to come and talk to the children in Year 5 & 6 about their jobs and answer any questions that the children may have. It was an amazing afternoon and hopefully provided some inspiration and aspiration for our kids.
