Dallimore's Got Talent is one of the highlights of our school year, giving every child the opportunity to showcase their talents and celebrate the achievements of others.

Open to all children from our 3-year-old Nursery through to Year 6, the event encourages confidence, creativity and performance skills. Children in Nursery, Reception and Key Stage 1 take part as whole classes, enjoying the experience of performing together in front of an audience.

In Key Stage 2, pupils audition with a wide range of talents, from singing and dancing to music, comedy and other unique performances. Classes then take part in a democratic voting process to choose the act they would like to represent them in the final show.

Dallimore's Got Talent is a fantastic celebration of pupil talent, courage and creativity, helping children build confidence, develop performance skills and create lasting memories as part of our wider enrichment programme.

We are proud to work in partnership with Rocksteady Music School to provide children with the opportunity to learn an instrument and perform as part of a band during the school day. Through weekly lessons led by professional Rocksteady musicians, pupils can learn guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, drums or vocals in a fun, supportive and engaging environment.

Rocksteady helps children develop confidence, teamwork, resilience and performance skills while fostering a lifelong love of music. The programme culminates in live performances, giving pupils the exciting experience of playing together as a band and showcasing their talents to others.

Performance plays an important role in life at Dallimore, providing children with opportunities to develop confidence, creativity, teamwork and communication skills.

Children in Reception take part in a special Christmas production each year, sharing songs and a festive performance with families. Pupils in Key Stage 1 also perform an annual Christmas show, giving every child the chance to take to the stage and experience performing in front of an audience.

As pupils reach Year 6, they have the opportunity to be involved in a final leavers' production. This is a highlight of their time at Dallimore and allows children to contribute in a variety of ways. Whether performing as an actor, singing as part of the cast, taking on a solo role, or supporting the technical aspects of the show through lighting and sound, every child can play an important part in bringing the production to life.

These performances help pupils develop confidence, resilience and teamwork while celebrating their talents and marking key milestones in their Dallimore journey.
